Blast from the past

This one of the few books I have read that actually spooked me. I first read it during the winter of 1985 while living in a small New England town. Five young men inadvertently kill a woman and then dump her body in a lake. Fifty years later, she seeks revenge. That's the short version of what happens in the book. I thouroughly enjoyed this book that was first published in 1979 and I highly reccomend reading this one if you haven't already.

  2. The only one I have seen is an early eighties version with John Houseman and Fred Astaire. If I remember correctly I didn't like the movie as much as the book, but I rarely do. The acting I think was good, but somehow the movie didn't seeem to portray the eerie feeling that the book did for me. that's not to say the movie was no good, just not as good to me. I'd rather read the book again than watch the movie to see if it holds up.
