Reboots
According to the Daily Dead who's link is in my sites link area to the right, they are rebooting Hellraiser. Does it need rebooting? Clive Barker is my favorite horror writer so I have a vested interest with this one in saying NO! Somethimes I want to tell them in Hollywood to come up with a new concept on their own or at least if they are going to do a Hellraiser or other established horror franchise...make it another chapter instead of rebooting. Don't try to change the original to do it "better"...give homage by adding a new and exciting chapter to a horror classic.

There seems to be a trend in Hollywood these days to either reboot or take from a book. That's great for writers (unless of course the movies go the way movies based on books usually go...) but I'd like to see some original concepts. Give some original screenplays a chance to shine! There's plenty out there to feed the imagination for new horror or fantasy.
